First round of European Supermoto Championship

The opening round of the European Supermoto Championship was held last weekend at the prestigious Ottobiano circuit in Pavia. Seasonal debut and in the European Championship for Michael Vertemati riding the new Vertemati Supermoto 450cc. 

During Saturday's qualifying he was never able to find the right feeling with the Ottobiano circuit and was forced to start from the 18th position on the grid. 

Sunday was characterized by cold and heavy rain, Michael in race 1 was able to kick off well at the start recovering several positions but a small mistake committed in the middle of the race forced him to finish the race in 11th position in the Lites Cup. 

In race 2 he once again started well and managed to overtake his rivals but immediately in the initial stages a technical problem with the front brake forced him not to force the brakes and saw the race finish in 13th position in the Lites Cup. 

Michael Vertemati: "obviously I am not satisfied with my season debut, unfortunately I never managed to find the right feeling with the track. In race 1 a small mistake made me lose a lot of positions, while in race 2 a technical problem got me forced to slow down ". 

The next round of the European Championship well be on 18th May in Busca (CN).
